Beethoven Coriolan Overture Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor with Julia Hwang violin Brahms Symphony No 4 in E minor
Julia Hwang
'Child prodigy violinist Julia Hwang [gave] a heartrending evening of stunning virtuosity. It is very rare to witness such remarkable talent in one so young.' THE DAILY MAIL
The fourth and final concert of the series starts with Beethoven's sombre Coriolan Overture and concludes with the tragic power of Brahms's mighty Fourth Symphony. Between the two comes Mendelssohn's beautiful Violin Concerto, described by one critic as the Eve to the Beethoven concerto's Adam. It will be played tonight by rising teenage star Julia Hwang, whose playing has already made a big impact at St George's.
